Greetings, Optimist Family!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, ALMS Optimists! I trust you and yours had an enjoyable and blessed Thanksgiving. It seems as if time is really whizzing past us; therefore, we need to optimistically catch up with it and add more steam to our ALMS Train engine.

The Second Quarter District Meeting will be January 19-21 in Hattiesburg, MS; I implore you to do your best to attend. The proposed training will include Orientation to Optimism for New Members, Don’t be Afraid of Social Media/Technology, a Very Special Skit, and some Special Activities for our Guests; I don’t believe you will be disappointed if you attend. So, go ahead and pack, gas up, and get aboard The ALMS Optimist Strong Train for the Second Quarter District Meeting!

Last, but not least, I want to send A BIG THANK YOU to the fifty plus attendees (OI Trainer, Fatima Plater, ALMS Presenters, Members, and Guests)) who supported our first Quarter Optimist Strong Conference; from the majority of the evaluations, everyone had an awesome time and received valuable information and training!

Yours in optimism,
Governor Jackie
