WHAT IS OPTIMIST DAY?

Confident people look to the future with hope, and on Optimist Day we celebrate the volunteers who share their enthusiasm, skills, and talent to make that tomorrow a vibrant and peaceful one.  Optimist Day is celebrated throughout the world annually on the 1st Thursday of February.  This is a day where the world can be an optimist themselves in action, plus join us in honoring Optimist clubs and members in their communities and worldwide for all they do year-round to promote efforts

in bringing out the best in youth, our ommunities, and ourselves.

Optimist Club of Perdido Bay

Congratulations to the Optimist Club of Perdido Bay for earning the ALMS District 1st Quarter Membership Growth Trophy. The club had a net 7 membership growth. The trophy could be your club next quarter if you just recruit and retain.

Optimist Club of Perry County, AL

Alfred G. Adams neckties were donated to the Robert C. Hatch High Football Team. Each Friday, the day of a game Coach Lewis is seen showing his players how to tie and style these neckties.

Optimist Club of Hernando, MS

We will have a table at Dickens of a Christmas for the kids to write and send their letters to Santa early this year! We hope to see you all out and enjoying the festivities!

While your are out you can take the children to decorate a Gingerbread House during the Dickens of a Christmas event.

Optimist Club of Huntsville, AL

The Optimist Club of Huntsville has their 250 band instruments checked out and ready for distribution. They loan them at no charge to middle school students that otherwise not be able to participate in their school's band program.
