OPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL ORATORICAL CONTEST

2024 - 25 Topic:

"How Optimism Has Guided Me Through Trying Times"

First conducted in 1928, this is the second most popular Optimist International Program. Nearly 2,000 clubs participate in this program each year.

The winners at the Club level will receive medallions, Zone winners will receive a plaque, and Regional winners will receive a certificate.

There will be three winners awarded scholarships at the District level of $2,500, $1,500, and $1,000 respectively for first, second and third place.

As of August 28th the Oratorical material for 2024-25 Year is not available yet from OI.

The deadline for holding Club Contests is Saturday, 15 March 2025

The Deadline for holding Zone Contests is 29 Saturday, March 2025

The Deadline for holding Regional Contests is Saturday, 12 April 2025

The District Contest will be held Saturday, 26 April 2025
